In PRP Therapy, blood is drawn from your own body and put into a vial. The vial is then put into a machine called a centrifuge and spun at an extremely high speed. By spinning the vial at a high velocity, the platelets isolate from the other blood components and become highly concentrated. This causes the platelets to be up to 10 times stronger than normal. After this process, the platelet rich plasma is injected back into the injured patient.
