Nicolas Vardiabasis, DO, is a board-certified Orthopedic Surgeon, Sports Medicine Physician, and Trauma Expert at Acute Care Orthopedics in West Hills, California. Dr. Vardiabasis takes great pride in working with the specialized practice, providing exceptional urgent care to patients 12 and older, specializing in sports medicine and sports-related injuries.

Dr. Vardiabasis earned his Bachelor of Science from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, where he studied sports medicine and graduated cum laude. 

He then earned his Doctor of Osteopathy from the Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific (COMP) in Pamona, California, and graduated with honors. While there, he served as the president of the International Medicine Club. 

Dr. Vardiabasis continued on to complete orthopedic surgery residency training at Kaiser Permanente Riverside Medical Center, Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC), and Riverside University Health System Medical Center (RUHS-MC), where he served as chief resident.

To stay up to date with the latest advances in medicine, Dr. Vardiabasis maintains professional affiliations with the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics (AOAO), American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS), Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA), and American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM). 

He is board-certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery (AOBOS) and the American Osteopathic Association (AOA). 

As an expert in sports medicine, Dr. Vardiabasis has served as a team physician for the Pittsburgh Riverhouds (USL) and the Pittsburgh Pirates (MLB). He currently serves as a team physician for USA Rugby.
